In 2005, Kopinor can look back on 25 years of collection and distribution of remuneration for reprography. The anniversary celebrations will nevertheless look at the future. Kopinor 25th Anniversary International Symposium in May will highlight various aspects of the management of author's rights. The first meeting of the Members' Council of the new body Kopifag, was held 30 April 1980. The new organisation, soon (from 1983) to be known as Kopinor, was established. In the course of these 25 years, all sectors of society have been offered copying agreements, in order to take care of the rightsholders interest without losing sight of the users' needs.
