In 2004, Kopinor reported total revenues of NOK 197.9 million, compared with NOK 194.8 million in 2003, an increase of 1.6 per cent. Kopinor's ordinary operating expenses was NOK 21.6 million, which is comparable to 10.9 per cent of revenues in 2004 (11 per cent in 2003).
The member organisations received a total of NOK 142.0 million in collective remuneration from Kopinor in 2004, compared with NOK 131.8 million in 2003.
Some 20 per cent of the remuneration Kopinor distributes is based on the copying of foreign works. This is disbursed, or set aside for future disbursements, to foreign rights holders. Kopinor's payments to rights holders abroad totalled NOK 35,9 million in 2003, compared with NOK 42,6 million in 2002. In addition, NOK 1.4 million was paid to Sami rights holders.
